Have you ever wanted a Lamborghini that is relatively easy to use, runs on electricity and arguably offers the same fun factor? As part of their 10th anniversary, Xiaomi has just released a special version of its Ninebot GoKart Pro which is an official link with the Italian supercar maker. The Chinese tech giant also revealed the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV in the same week, so they’re pretty much on a roll, and that doesn’t include their smartphones and other gadgets.
Although it doesn’t have the same presence on the road as its true Lamborghini counterpart, this specific Ninebot GoKart Pro proudly wears the iconic yellow ‘Giallo Orion’ colourway and includes the necessary stickers and badges. The aero and towering rear spoiler gives a race car vibe, and the small steering wheel and relatively comfortable seating area (as far as karts go) looks pretty cool. Xiaomi claims that the Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition is capable of carrying a load of up to 100 kg (or around 220 lbs).
Like the existing Ninebot GoKart Pro, the Lamborghini Edition is fully electric and has a 432 Wh battery which is good for around 62 laps of a 400 meter circuit at a top speed of 25 miles per hour. Additionally, the Lamborghini Edition gets LED headlights in “Ice Lake Blue” for visibility, an audio emulation system that recreates the sound of Lamborghini engines (odel not specified, although a V10 or V12 would be epic) . Additionally, custom tires are standard to allow for easier drift performance.
It’s unclear when it will reach the United States, but the regular Ninebot GoKart Pro in a rather plain white has been on sale for a while now, with Segway bringing it. The Lamborghini edition of the Ninebot GoKart Pro will launch in China on August 16 and bring buyers down to 9,999 Chinese yuan, or the equivalent of $ 1,479.
