We just found out that we never wrote about the Geo Metro on the pages of Motor1.com. It’s not something we’re particularly proud of, but the truth is, the Suzuki-based little vehicle isn’t a hot topic for most of our readers. However, we bet this particular example will generate at least some interest in you.
This is a 1993 Geo Metro that we discovered on Facebook. It is currently listed for sale on a page titled 10 sales and this is indeed a fairly unique example. And we’re not just talking about the odd two-tone paint job, but mainly the fact that this vehicle is actually a truck.
This car probably started life as a three-door sedan and lost its rear seats when converting to a pickup. The tiny cargo bed in the rear looks absolutely serviceable and it’s important to note that the rear axle has a total of four wheels. Yes, you read that right – it’s actually a truck with two rear wheels.
The seller explains that the car has driven about 63,000 miles and one of the photos seems to confirm this. We don’t have any details on the engine under the hood, but one thing we can confirm for sure is that it’s green. Literally.
It is also mated to a three-speed automatic transmission which the owner says “has no problem”. The only aspect to invest in is the tire set, as the next owner should consider purchasing six new tires.
The price? The seller is currently asking $ 2,500 for the modified Geo Metro. It’s not a lot of money, but we would rather spend around $ 2,000 for it given the need for six new tires. What do you think – is it worth our attention or is it just another weird and useless car? Let us know in the comments section below.
