You’ll have to wait patiently until June of next year to take delivery of a new 2-door or 4-door Bronco, provided you are among the first to adopt. Reserve one now and Ford will deliver your off-road-ready SUV sometime in 2021, so it’s going to be a long wait. Thankfully, the Blue Oval is trying to ease the wait by releasing more and more content with its much-publicized Bronco revival.
Concrete example, Mike Levine, North American head of product communications at Ford, shared on his Twitter count a few short clips with the 2021 Bronco in action. The two show a Cyber Orange example of the 2-door model with the roof while tackling the dunes in the company of its nemesis, the Jeep Wrangler.
The Bronco shown here has the Sasquatch Package that will be available on all six trim levels, adding a variety of off-road goodies, including Beadlock-compatible 17-inch wheels wrapped in chunky 35-inch tires. Admittedly, these aren’t the most exciting videos, but they offer a first chance to see the great Bronco in action. With customer deliveries so far, we’ll be content with any actual footage on stills or CGI videos.
If you are wondering what the flags are in, they serve for safety purposes to make vehicles more visible and thus reduce the risk of a potential collision with another vehicle, be it an SUV or an ATV. The 2021 Bronco will come with over 200 factory guaranteed accessories, but it remains to be seen if those orange flags will be on the list.
With a recent report claiming that Ford has recorded over 230,000 reservations for the new Bronco, it’s safe to say that capable off-roader will be a common phenomenon on the sand dunes once deliveries begin next summer. Meanwhile, the online configurator will be operational by September and order books are expected to open in December.
