Watch Hennessey Silverado Goliath Cook Up Some Smoky Donuts
Hennessey Performance calls its supercharged pickups Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Goliath, and a brand new aftermarket video shows what the high-performance truck can do. Specifically, this is the mid-range Goliath 700. The company also offers 500, 650 and 800 versions.
The Goliath 700 is easily able to burn out its rear tires in big, smoky burns. The sound of the engine also has a name that suits the biblical villain. The mill roars and there is only a small audible whine from the compressor.
As the name suggests, the Goliath 700 has a declared horsepower of 700 horsepower (522 kilowatts). Hennessey adds a 2.9-liter supercharger to the 6.2-liter V8. To handle the boost, the engine is fitted with CNC port cylinder heads, a new camshaft and hardened push rods.
If enough horsepower isn’t enough for you, Hennessey also offers an optional off-road package for the Goliath. It includes a thick front bumper with a brush guard and LED lights. The truck rides on a six-inch lift and has 20-inch 10-spoke wheels with 35-inch studded tires.
If customers want to make their Goliath a little more different than a standard Silverado, Hennessey offers an optional dynamic air hood for the truck. Other upgrades available include a stainless steel cat-back exhaust, power retractable bedspread, and power steps. Customers can also add diamond stitching to the cabin.
At the top of the Goliath lineup is the six-wheeled version of the truck. Adding the extra axle requires an overhaul at the rear, including new rear suspension and a custom bed to cover the extra length. At a cost of $ 375,000, which includes the new Chevy Silverado, it’s an expensive platform.
