Watch A Kia K5 Land A Flat Spin 360-Degree Jump Between Two Ramps
Midsize sedans are often referred to as executive sedans for a reason: They are a must-have segment for businesses, most often used by bosses with a driver at the helm. But this notion of executive sedans was avoided with the arrival of the new generation models.
Example: the 2021 Kia K5, formerly known as Optima. Along with the name change to align with the brand’s standard global nomenclature, the K5 came with sporty elements – not to mention styling that is meant to impress.
Kia has not finished betting on the performance of the K5. He presented the sedan through an unprecedented stunt, both by the car and the brand itself – a flat 360-degree jump between two ramps. You can watch the waterfall through the video we have embedded at the top of this article.
As mentioned, it’s a stunt, and we don’t know what Kia wants to tell you as it’s a K5 we’re talking about. How often would this sedan do this in real life? But to be honest, if you ever have to do it sooner or later in a K5, we hope you can find some peace in knowing it’s possible.
The above stunt is part of the South Korean automaker’s investment in a prime-time spot on the 72nd Emmy Awards TV show. The K5 was featured “in what will surely be the most memorable and unforgettable moments in television broadcasting”.
“Partnering with the 72nd Emmy Awards puts the all-new K5 at the forefront at one of the most-watched live television events of the year,” said Russell Wager, director of marketing operations for Kia Motors America. “The launch of the K5 is unlike anything the midsize sedan class has ever seen and this latest move highlights the ‘It Factor’ that sets the K5 apart from all the rest.”
