UK-Based Camper Van Features L-Shaped Couch And Giant Garage
The importance of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter on the world motorhome scene is undeniable. We don’t have exact numbers to compare, but it could arguably be the most popular chassis for all sorts of motorhome conversions – both on this side of the Big Pond and in Europe. Our guest today is from the UK and is a smart motorhome based on Sprinter.
The company that builds it is called Hunter Sport Homes and we’ve covered that before. Last year one of its custom campers was featured on our pages due to its unique exterior paint from Audi. The motorhome that you’ll see in the gallery above has a similar layout, but there are a number of important differences.
To begin with, this is a long wheelbase motorhome designed for “racing bikes and cyclists” which has a large garage at the rear, where all kinds of bikes, motorcycles, sleds and skis can be transported. The garage floor and walls are clad in durable sheet metal and there is also a small door which provides a direct connection to the living room.
Despite its size, the garage still leaves room for a comfortable sleeping area with mood lighting and a few storage pockets. In front of this is the living room with an L-shaped leather sofa forming a small but comfortable dinette. The sofa folds flat and forms a second bed for two.
The smart construction also includes a heating and hot water system, a 100 liter water and waste tank on board, a shower and toilet, an oven, a 50 liter refrigerator, a solar panel system of 100 watts, a large 4- meter canopy, and more.
Judging by the photos, the fit and finish of the motorhome looks absolutely excellent. The price? According to the company’s price list, the base conversion costs £ 19,495 before taxes, which works out to around $ 25,875. All custom modifications are at an additional cost.
