Track-Only Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Officially Revealed With 830 HP

It’s been teased and taunted, and now it’s here, the limited-edition, track-only Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 hypercar powered by the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 ever developed by the iconic Italian brand. A direct descendant of cars such as the Miura Jota and Diablo GTR, the Essenza SCV12 features aerodynamics inspired by racing prototypes.

“The Essenza SCV12 represents the purest track driving experience our brand can offer, a technical feat that highlights the inextricable link between our cars and the asphalt of the track,” said Stefano Domenicali, CEO and president of Automobili Lamborghini.

“Lamborghini is a brand that is constantly looking to the future and looking for new challenges, but we never forget our roots and who we are: Essenza SCV12 is the perfect combination of our unconventional spirit as a manufacturer of super cars sports and our true passion for motorsport.

The Essenza SCV12 was created for exclusive use on the track, with engineered solutions derived from racing. The V12 engine is capable of delivering more than 830 horsepower (619 kilowatts), with a significant increase in power due to high-speed ram effect.

Power is managed by a new X-trac six-speed sequential gearbox, positioned as a structural element in the chassis. The Essenza SCV12 features an exceptional power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 hp per kilogram thanks to the next-generation carbon fiber monocoque chassis that does not require an internal roll bar. Despite its absence, the Essenza SCV12 is the first GT car developed in accordance with FIA prototype safety rules, a testament to the inherent strength of the carbon fiber chassis.

“Essenza SCV12 is the ultimate expression of the naturally aspirated V12 engine, a symbol of our brand since 1963,” says Maurizio Reggiani, Technical Director of Automobili Lamborghini. “This is a project in which we have combined the pursuit of technical perfection with refined aerodynamics, futuristic design and innovative solutions such as the carbon monocoque without internal roll bar.

“The result is an engaging and uncompromising car, born for racing and to present on the track the characteristics that have made Lamborghini famous around the world, guaranteeing unique and special emotions for the driver and spectators.

The aerodynamics benefit from the GT racing experience of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse to provide higher downforce than a GT3 car, valued at 2,756 pounds (1,200 kg) at 155 miles per hour (250 kilometers per hour). hour).
