This Go-Kart Fashioned From Volkswagen Beetle Fender Is Cute AF

We’ve seen this before – Beetle fenders turned into minibikes, and as our colleagues from Rideapart, they’re part creepy and part adorable. While these “Volkspods” were made by someone by the name of Walter Werks, this one is by another – but just as adorable. More, even.

Meet, the Bugkart Wasowski, manufactured by Aldekas Studio from Mexico. As you can see they are also made from a fender from a VW Beetle Type 1 which adds an old school vibe to the go-kart. If you ask us, we love it. In fact, we want one. We want one now.

Aldekas Studio specializes in the restoration of vintage cars, in particular Beetles. Without even telling them, it gave them an edge in sourcing surplus Beetle fenders. Sounds good, actually, and I can imagine the guys chilling out one afternoon just before the idea came to fruition. It must have been a light bulb moment, but I digress.

The bright red frame is a brilliant color choice here as it appears in the rather vintage olive green paint. To add a finishing touch, beige leather pieces are added, especially on the seat and handles, as well as chrome mirrors.

Unfortunately, as far as we want to spend our money now on this cute AF karting idea, Aldekas Studio has yet to produce one for the real world. These images here are realistic renderings, although we won’t be surprised if the actual product ends up looking like this.

If you couldn’t wait, you might as well hit up the guys already on their Facebook page to find out about their adorable machine. You never know – they might offer an early bird discount.
