Automobili Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group unveil the motor yacht ‘Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63’
Sant’Agata Bolognese / Marina di Carrara, June 30, 2020 – Automobili Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group present the world premiere of “Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63”, the new motor yacht of the Tecnomar fleet available in limited edition with reference to the foundation Lamborghini in 1963.
Performance, driving pleasure, attention to quality and detail, emotion: these are the emotional characteristics combined within the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, thanks to innovative engineering solutions and a distinctive design unique to Italian style and tradition shared.
This motor yacht project, developed by The Italian Sea Group, started with several collaboration sessions with the contribution of the Lamborghini Centro Stile and the inspiration of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37: the super hybrid sports car incorporating new technologies supercapacitor and materials science, which anticipates the future with a unique design and fully customizable colors and details.
The challenge of reinterpreting the common features of the DNA of the two brands inspired all phases of the project, from the principles of design to the definition of technical characteristics guaranteeing incredible performance, without neglecting the quality of the materials and the attention to detail.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, said: “This yacht represents the importance of creating a valuable partnership at its best: our cooperation helps transfer the essence of the style and expertise of the two organizations in different worlds, sharing their diversity to interpret and enhance the end product in a new environment. If I had to imagine a Lamborghini on the water, that would be my vision. I am delighted to celebrate this successful collaboration. “
“We announced this partnership in May, and today we are presenting Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, a motor yacht that will become an icon as futuristic as the car on which it is inspired,” said Giovanni Costantino, CEO of The Italian Sea Group . “Selected owners from around the world will not only own the fastest Tecnomar motor yacht in the fleet, but also a Tecnomar masterpiece for Lamborghini 63. I am proud that we have chosen to create this innovative and stimulating project with Automobili Lamborghini, which combines technology, supreme design, quality and performance. “
Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 is not only an exercise in style and design; it represents the avant-garde of luxury stars. Inspired by the performance of Lamborghini super sports cars, the most important innovative features at the heart of the concept are the speed and dynamism of light engineering.
With two MAN V12-2000 hp engines, the motor yacht reaches 60 knots and will be the fastest of the Tecnomar fleet, satisfying the requirements of the collector and those who love life at sea. The carbon fiber material, typical of super Lamborghini sports cars, places this motor yacht firmly in the category of ultra-light boats, with its length of 63 feet weighing just 24 tonnes.
The exterior design is characterized by a super sporty silhouette, with an avant-garde but perfectly nautical appearance. The hull and superstructure are created from a high performance hull, developed by naval engineers specialized in hydrodynamic sciences. They interpret the design lines, created by Marcello Gandini in the Miura and the Countach of the 60s and 70s, in a contemporary way. The hard top is inspired by Lamborghini roadsters: it protects from the sun and wind while guaranteeing exceptional aerodynamic performance. The front lights are a tribute to the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio concept car and the Sián FKP 37, both distinctive for their Y-shaped front lights.
Tecnomar’s interiors for Lamborghini 63 are the result of a high-tech design based on super-efficient materials for weight and function, perfectly married to the best Made in Italy heritage. The iconic clean lines of Lamborghini, the hexagonal shapes, the Y pattern and the materials are clearly integrated into the design, as well as the colors and materials that are fully customizable in the manner of the Lamborghini Ad Personam program. Customers can choose from many exterior colors and liveries, while the interior is available in two versions to choose from a wide combination of materials.
The dashboard of the motor yacht interprets the cockpit of the car in a nautical style, fully integrating all navigation and control systems. As in Lamborghini super sports cars, the details are finished in carbon fiber, with the Lamborghini Carbon Skin ™ used in sports seats and on the helm, designed as the steering wheel of the super sports car. The unmistakable start / stop button (two, one for each engine) is exactly the same as the one used to start a Lamborghini engine.
The first boat will be available in early 2021.
