Ricky Bobby Returns In Dodge’s New Talladega Nights Commercial

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby was arguably the best in the 2000s Will Ferrell’s sports comedy series which includes Kick and scream, Blade of glory, and Semi pro. Now Ricky Bobby is back in a new Dodge commercial that highlights Challenger SRT Super Stock, Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye and Durango SRT Hellcat.

Ferrell isn’t back behind the wheel, however. Instead, we see Ricky Bobby growing up in 1981. Except it’s an early ’80s version where the Hellcat exists.

Ricky is driving a Charger Hellcat Redeye. His father (with Gary Cole reprising the role) chases him in a Durango Hellcat. Ricky’s friend Cal comes to the rescue behind the wheel of a Challenger SRT Super Stock.

The kids decide to recreate the Shake ‘n Bake maneuver from the movie. Ricky spins his Charger and turns his father and Cal upside down.

Then the action stops completely. Young Ricky addresses the camera and says the lawyers are asking him to tell the audience that kids aren’t actually driving. A cut then shows Cal’s stuntman, while keeping the child’s voice.

The end of the ad uses the slogan from the movie “If you’re not the first, you’re the last” while showing the trophies from Dodge for going beyond the APEAL study and the original JD Power quality study . This is the first time that a national brand has achieved this in a year.

Dodge will post this announcement on social media and promote its 2020 Power Dollars incentive program. The deal offers buyers a $ 10 rebate for every power produced by the vehicle. For example, the 807 horsepower (602 kilowatt) Challenger SRT Super Stock comes with $ 8,070 off.
