The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is official – at least we have seen several spy photos to prove it. In addition, Stuttgart has already confirmed the launch of the all-electric wagon towards the end of this year.
That said, Porsche has all hands on deck to develop the production version of the Mission E Cross Turismo. Our spy photographers were able to spot the Taycan Cross Turismo more than two months ago during tests in the snow. This time, however, recent spy shots show him testing with his sedan counterpart.
Much like the previous ones we saw in April, the Taycan Cross Turismo here doesn’t really cover much of its production skin. The only hiding places you will see are around the rear lights, which deviate from the Taycan.
Despite this, Cross Turismo is, of course, strongly based on the architecture of the Taycan; it is the first among Taycan-based derivatives – the cornerstone of Porsche’s push for electrification.
As such, expect the same powertrain options for the Taycan Cross Turismo, with powers ranging from 530 horsepower (395 kilowatts) to 761 hp (567 kW).
The Taycan Cross Turismo will arrive on the world stage towards the end of this year. This was revealed during the Porsche 2019 annual and sustainability report in March. The event also confirmed that the all-electric Macan will debut in 2022.
As for the other Taycan derivatives, Porsche refuses to reveal them exactly, but expects nothing less from Porsche in terms of electrification. It is in this direction that the automotive industry is headed, and you can count on Stuttgart to stay one step ahead of this offensive.
