Place Your Bets On 2021 North American Car, Truck, And Utility Finalists

The organizers of the 2021 North American car, utility and truck awards have announced the 36 models that will be eligible for the final phase of the competition. The competition will be divided into three categories – cars, utilities and trucks, all models having to debut until the end of the year are also eligible to participate.

In September this year, the jury, made up of 50 journalists from print, online and radio media, will reduce the list to a total of 12 cars in each category. Shortly thereafter, additional tests will be carried out, including a comparison test in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in October. The semi-finalists in each category will be announced at the Los Angeles auto show in November and the finalists will be announced a month later. All winners are expected to be selected in January 2021.

“Product introductions have slowed for a while, but that will change in the second half of the year, as automakers market a large number of major new cars, SUVs and trucks,” said Gary Witzenburg, president of NACTOY. “Our jurors will be very busy over the next few months as they work to drive and evaluate all of these new models.”
