By now, you probably know that the Hyundai Tucson will get a next-gen version for the 2021 model year. The Korean compact crossover has been spied on numerous times as early as August of last year, and several renderings that bear its new face are already out.
It should be noted that Sangyup Lee, director of the Hyundai Design Center, touted that the design of the next-gen Tucson would scare us away, while Andrew Tuatahi, Hyundai’s head of product planning, claims that the 2021 Tucson is “very interesting visually”.
Although the exact date of the next Tucson is not yet known, we have discovered an alleged teaser sketch on a French forum called Scoops of the world. The sketch (shown at the top of this page) shows the interior of the new Tucson, which appears to contain numerous display screens – in the center of the dashboard and on the dashboard.
It’s akin to the next-gen MBUX that we’ll see in the 2021 Mercedes S-Class, which was officially reviewed earlier this month.
However, Hyundai has denied releasing said sketched interior teaser. “We haven’t released any next-gen Tucson teasers. So we can’t confirm,” the automaker said.
While the officiality of said interior sketch is questionable at this time, we can’t deny that it looks a lot like the spied-on interior images that other sites reported last month. If the screen infested cabin on offer ever transcends production specs, we shouldn’t be surprised either, given that many automakers have already embraced the technological future of cars.
We’ll know more about the next-gen 2021 Hyundai Tucson by the end of this year. As mentioned, however, no exact month or date has been set yet, so keep watching this space for more updates on the Korean compact crossover.
