Mercedes-Benz is on a promising 2020 in the United States, at least in the first half of this heartbreaking year. Its three-year sales crown among luxury automakers from 2016 to 2018 was cut by BMW last year, but the three-pointed star appears to be getting back on its feet in the first half of 2020, dominating Bavaria’s in a big way.
SUVs, of course, are the brand’s main cash cow, especially the GLE-Class which moved 9,500 units in the first half of 2020, making it the best-selling Merc in the US so far.
If you’re among those looking to buy a GLE this year, especially the GLE Coupe, then you might want to check this out.
This is the HGLE Coupe from Hofele-Design GmbH, a contractual partner of Mercedes-Benz in Germany and recognized by the authorities of that country as a car manufacturer. Hofele offers a tailor-made solution for those who want to stand out in the crowd with their GLE Coupé – much like an unofficial Maybach model if you have to.
As you can see from the photos provided, Hofele’s design updates on the HGLE include a two-tone exterior paint that looks like a Rolls-Royce. Of course, the Hofele badges, the iconic grille and other chrome accents are added. Customers can also choose from Hofele alloy wheels ranging in size from 22 to 24 inches.
But the Hofele touch is best appreciated in the cabin. With materials ranging from Alcantara inserts to Nappa leather, customers have a plethora of options to choose from. And yes, these options include color for better customization.
Note, Hofele offers its tailor-made solution to any vehicle in the GLE Coupé range. The company, however, has not disclosed pricing at this point. You wouldn’t expect it to be cheap, would you?
