Technical highlights

 Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX): a brand new multimedia system with innovative technology based on artificial intelligence and an intuitive operating system. MBUX technology opens the way to a new level of experience in the car. MBUX can be controlled by voice control, touch screen, touchpad and touch control buttons on the steering wheel. The system has learning capabilities and intelligent voice control with natural language understanding and a verbal signal from “Hey Mercedes” or “Hey Sprinter” for Freightliner models.
 DISTRANCE REGULATOR DISTRONIC® PLUS is capable of tracking a vehicle ahead at a preset distance at a wide range of speeds and relieves the driver’s stress on long journeys and when tracking vehicles.
 BLIND SPOT ASSIST Now new with the rear transverse traffic alert (RCTA), recognizes vehicles in the blind spot using two short-range radar sensors located in the rear bumper. The detection zone extends from the B-pillar approximately 11 feet on each side of the vehicle and 9 feet behind the rear end.
 ACTIVE LANE KEEPING ASSIST is capable of detecting an involuntary departure from a lane, of warning the driver and of helping to bring the vehicle back into its lane thanks to the unilateral actuation of the brakes.
 PARK ASSIST: Uses twelve radar sensors installed on the front and rear bumpers. When the car is in reverse, Park Assist displays a 360-degree pictogram of the car and the parking lot, offering helpful steering tips.
 TRAFFIC SIGNALING ASSISTANCE: draws attention to speed limits, non-entry and no-overtaking restrictions
 CROSS WIND ASSISTANCE: Detects strong crosswinds and helps the driver stay on course. At speeds above 50 mph, it corrects the trajectory of the vehicle by means of an automatic braking intervention on the wheels on the side of the vehicle facing the wind.
 ATTENTION ASSIST: gives the driver visual and audible warnings if he detects typical signs of drowsiness or inattention, and urges the driver to take a break. Steering wheel movements are recorded and used to create an individual driver profile.
 The active braking assistant with transverse circulation function constantly checks the safety distance from the vehicle just ahead, warns the driver optically and acoustically of potential collisions and brakes the vehicle autonomously until it comes to a complete stop if necessary.

 Car-to-X communication: one of the new Mercedes PRO connect services. Receive a warning in your new Sprinter with Car-to-X communication in the event of heavy rain, fog, icy roads or accidents. Based on the automatically collected data of all vehicles using this technology, drivers receive notifications when other drivers encounter a dangerous condition.

 Internet in the car The driver and passengers can use the multimedia system’s Wi-Fi hotspot to easily connect online with mobile devices. Internet service in the car requires a Mercedes PRO account, in addition a contract must be concluded with a third-party mobile network operator.

 Touch control buttons: touch controls on the steering wheel for control of the instrument cluster and infotainment system, similar to a smartphone interface, that respond to vertical and horizontal swipe movements.
