(Hethel, UK – July 14, 2020) – Lotus has launched a brand new plug and play digital instrument pack which is preloaded with more than 4,000 race tracks from around the world.

The perfect illustration of how Lotus is always “for the pilots”, the digital dashboard includes integrated GPS technology and lap performance indicators, allowing fans of the track day to measure, display and record data to improve their race lines and lap times.

Designed for the Lotus Elise and V6 Exige models built from 2008, the system software is preloaded with the details of 4,127 race tracks and automatically recognizes when drivers are near a circuit. Drivers can download the start / finish line coordinates to calculate lap times, then analyze their performance in real time on the digital display or later by downloading the data to a laptop.

A unique Lotus-branded splash screen further enhances the experience, and users can also customize the display of the high-contrast six-inch TFT screen to suit their needs. The system even has a camera input, allowing drivers to add a portable action camera to capture the action of each exhilarating lap.

Chris Hinks, After-Sales Director for Lotus, said the Digital Instrument Pack is designed for drivers who want to take their Lotus track day experience to the next level. He commented: “We know our customers appreciate the legacy of motorsport from Lotus cars and enjoy using their own vehicles on track days. The integration of a pack of digital instruments in an Elise or an Exige will only reinforce this experience. “

The digital instrument pack has been carefully designed to fit perfectly into the Elise or Exige dashboard, replacing the original instrumentation. It is available in international markets where both cars are sold. At UK Lotus retailers, the price is £ 1,470 incl. VAT and an assembly service is available at an additional cost. When installed by a Lotus retailer, the pack is covered by a two-year warranty. Prices in other markets will vary.

Lotus owners can now also take advantage of a number of other after-sales packages, including scheduled maintenance at fixed prices and on brakes and clutches. All parts purchased and installed by an authorized Lotus reseller are now covered by a 24 month / unlimited mileage warranty on parts.
