Lamborghini Urus Meets Aventador And Huracan In Drag Race
Lamborghini vehicles are powerful and fast cars – there is no doubt about it. Yes, they’re neither the fastest nor the fastest these days, but these Italian supercars still have the firepower to take on new rivals. Even the practical Urus SUV has enough grunt to win drag races.
But if you’re wondering which Lamborghini is the fastest and fastest – not counting the Sian and Sian Roadster, of course – Carwow pitted three of Lamborghini’s basic nameplates against each other in a family war drag race.
First let’s fix the number. The largest and heaviest of the group is the Urus, which weighs 4,850 pounds (2,200 kilograms). It has the smallest engine, albeit a twin-turbocharged one – a heavily reworked 4.0-liter V8 from Audi that produces 641 horsepower (478 kilowatts) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton-meters) of torque.
The Aventador, on the other hand, has the biggest engine in the pack. Behind the seats is a naturally aspirated V12 and since this is no ordinary Aventador, an SV Roadster it produces a total of 740 hp (552 kW) and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) of twists. It is also much lighter than the Urus at 3,472 lbs (1,575 kg).
The Huracan Performante here might not be the most powerful, but it certainly has a trump card up its sleeve. Weighing just 1,382 kg (3,047 lb), this supercar is the lightest of the three Lamborghinis. It also has a powerful engine – a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 that produces 631 hp (471 kW) and 443 lb-ft (601 Nm) of traction.
With these numbers presented, which bull do you think won this drag race? A little spoiler: he is the one who launched the best. Watch the video at the top of this page to find out.
