International Scout Meets 2021 Ford Bronco In This Fan Rendering
While the International Harvester brand may not have the notoriety of industry giants like Ford, there is more to it than meets the eye. Abimelec Design created a fun concept of what the original Scout would look like with design cues from the recently released 2021 Bronco.
While the IH company is well known to off-road purists, it came back in interesting ways, one of which was the inclusion of the Scout 800 in the recently released Snowrunner video game. While this might not be the most practical vehicle in the game, it is certainly one of the prettiest.
Before starting a war in the comments, Abimelec created a special fusion between the two. The most notable transplant comes with a variation of the Bronco’s eclectic grille seen on the Scout. While the jury is out on the restomod-style aesthetic, the end product is sufficiently refined; it’s not a Baja pre-racer here with 49 inch tires and a lift kit to earth orbit.
Besides his fame in the game, the Scout is a very important talking point in the off-road conversation. While the render applied some of the styling cues from the new Bronco to the International Harvester, things were different. The former is often considered the spiritual origin of its flat-nosed 4×4 aesthetic, but the latter came first. All things aside, it’s often contested which all-terrain vehicle is more pleasing to the eye.
While this is just a fun concept render, we’re scratching our heads as to which engine might reside under the hood. While replacing the LS V8s with Scouts is becoming a very popular thing, we would also like to see a replaced EcoBoost as a tribute to the Comanche turbo four seen in previous models.
