The Mercedes-Benz GLE certainly has no shortage of variety when it comes to the versions and powertrains available. In the United States only, it currently has four models before entering AMG territory and not counting GLE Coupé derivatives. However, there is nothing like the Hofele HGLE.
The tuning company has just revealed its views on the mid-size SUV from the Stuttgart-based automaker and it’s a sight to behold. The two-tone exterior finish and massive wheels in combination with the additional chrome trim make it look like a Maybach product, in the same vein as the Hofele Ultimate HGLS. The distinctive radiator grille at the front adds a nice individual touch to the otherwise elegant exterior.
The interior of the Ultimate HGLE is probably the most exciting thing to talk about, as it has been fully padded with fine Napa and Alcantara leathers, which cover virtually every palpable part of the cabin. The luggage compartment, meanwhile, has a shiny wooden floor with aluminum trim – in our eyes, it is not the most practical solution but it is another story.
Without GLE Maybach on the horizon, the HGLE could be the most opulent GLE money you can buy today. And while there is no official price available yet for the model, keep in mind that the GLE 450 4Matic stock starts at $ 77,600. The vehicle you see in the gallery above is also based on the GLE 450 and we anticipate that it will cost around $ 100,000.
