Here’s A Rare, Extended Look At The Drako GTE Electric Hypercar
We’ve known about the Drako GTE for over a year now, but only a few videos have appeared since its introduction last year at Pebble Beach. That’s pretty much expected, as only 25 Drako GTEs will roam the surface of this planet, and each has a sticker price of $ 1.3 million.
That said, a full-fledged video of the Drako GTE is a rare gem. We’ve seen it driven by legendary Lamborghini test diver Valentino Balboni before, but here’s a more in-depth look at the electric hypercar – a full 20-minute clip.
We probably won’t get the chance to drive this rare hypercar, so you might as well watch the embedded video at the top of this page. Styling wise, the Drako GTE takes a lot of inspiration from the Karma sedan, and includes four seats – much like the Koenigsegg Gemera but electric.
Regarding the technical specifics, the latest Drako model offers four electric motors, each wheel being propelled by a motor. Combined, these engines produce up to 1,200 horsepower (895 kilowatts) and an incredible 6,491 pound-feet (8,800 Newton-meters) of torque from mountain travel. With these numbers, the Drako GTE is pulling at 206 miles per hour (332 kilometers per hour).
As for the juice, the Drako GTE is equipped with a 90 kWh battery. Fast charging is possible via 150 kW outlets, but Drako reserves the right to disclose charging times. Yes, even in the video the charging time was not mentioned. Or has it been avoided? You decide.
There is a lot to know about the Drako GTE that cannot be translated into words, so I suggest you finish the 20 minute video above to learn more.
