The Hennessey Venom F5 took a long time to come. Six years have already passed since its initial announcement in 2014. The company has already confirmed that the production hypercar will be officially released this year, but now Hennessey confirms the month of its launch.
According to a teaser published on the official Hennessey Performance Facebook page, the Venom F5 will finally arrive in the spotlight in November. This goes hand in hand with the company’s initial plan, which was to start production of the car last year and release the production version this year.
Additionally, as you would have seen with the integrated image above, the teaser came with a preview of part of the production version of the Venom F5. Yes, yes, no surprise here. The Venom F5 will receive exposed pieces of carbon fiber, which will be the case all over the body.
In fact, the F5’s monocoque body is made of carbon fiber, which explains the price of $ 1.6 million attached to the limited-production supercar. Hennessey also estimates that it will weigh less than 3,000 pounds (1,360 kilograms), with a drag coefficient of 0.33.
It’s more likely that you already know that the Venom F5 should be Hennessey’s fastest creation, aiming for a record top speed of 311 miles per hour (501 kilometers per hour).
This will be made possible by a monstrous 7.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine developing 1,600 horsepower (1,193 kilowatts) and 1,300 pound-feet (1,762 Newton meters) of torque, with an aluminum block and steel cylinder sleeves.
Only 24 units of the Hennessey Venom F5 will be manufactured – 12 for the United States and the other dozen for the rest of the world.
