GMC Offering Employee Pricing For All, But Not On All Models
If you’re in the market for a new vehicle – especially a truck or SUV – there’s a new word that GMC is offering rates for everyone. If you’ve got visions of a new Sierra in your driveway with some extra cash in the bank, however, don’t hope.
Throughout August, GMC will be offering its special prices for the Canyon, the Yukon and Acadia, according to GM Authority. Old School Savana also receives employee awards for those who need a minivan or way more seats than a typical SUV can offer. All versions of the GMC Sierra pickup are excluded from the offer, as is the compact Terrain SUV.

What exactly does employee pricing mean? In short, this is a special rate usually reserved for General Motors employees and their families. The price depends of course on the model, but it is usually a discount well below the MSRP. In some cases, employee pricing can also be combined with other automaker incentives. For example, GMC is currently announcing a 2020 Canyon Denali Crew Cab 4WD with an employee price reduction of $ 3504 below the MSRP. Plus, it’s available with a purchase allowance of $ 1,500, for a grand total of $ 5,004 off the sticker price.
Of course, there is a lot of fine print to consider beforehand. Certain trim levels of the aforementioned vehicles may not qualify for the discounted price, and different regions may receive different discounts for operating with the tariff employed. Plus, the discounts advertised are based on a specific MSRP, so while a total discount of $ 7,575 sounds great on a 2020 GMC Yukon, it’s based on a Denali model decorated with an MSRP of over $ 78,000.
Yet for those who are in the market, this is an opportunity to do business. Employee pricing is available through the end of August in the United States.
