Genesis GV70 Teased For The First Time
With the GV80, Genesis was all the rage behind the luxury SUV party, but Hyundai’s premium brand is making up for lost time with a second premium model. Meet the GV70, teased here for the very first time ahead of an official reveal expected in the coming weeks. The South Korean brand remains coy on details for now, saying only that the model runs on a rear-wheel drive platform and that the prototypes will undergo final testing locally for around a month.
While the GV70 remains immersed in camouflage, it’s easy to notice that the styling won’t stray too far from the larger GV80. The “two-line” lighting pattern gives the chic SUV an interesting look, while the badge grille is quite large and imposing. These air intakes on the sides of the bumper are also quite large and appear to be fair for show as they are blocked.
There’s a good chance the Genesis GV70 has a lot in common with the G70, which received a mid-cycle facelift earlier this month. The refresh received by the luxury sedan also gives us an idea of what the interior of the SUV will look like, with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system located at the top of the center console. A fully digital dashboard is expected, along with plenty of other tech benefits like wireless charging and live updates.
The wraps should come off before the end of the year.
