Fan Rendering Proposes Kia Forte Facelift With Some K5 Design Cues
The birth of the new K5, formerly known as the Optime, showed us what future Kia sedans would look like. And that’s not a bad proposition at all. The K5 is a good looking vehicle, with a design that is a worthy successor to the style written by Peter Schreyer. For what it’s worth, Luc Donckerwolke does a very good job continuing the Kia design revolution.
That being said, AtchaCars of Korea offers a render of the Forte (or K3 in its home market) bearing certain K5 design cues. Here are all the images they sent us.
As expected, the K5 design language fits the little Forte pretty well. However, note that this is only a facelift proposal, so it’s just the fascia that has changed in the render. It didn’t come with the polarizing LED set on the headlights. Plus, we really think the Forte would look better with a sleeker profile than its current design. But at first glance, this one is quite a spectator.
There isn’t much information on the next Forte. It does need a facelift, however, as the current version approaches its third year since its introduction in the United States at the Detroit show.
We also don’t know if the Forte will keep its name for the next model change or if it will adopt the alphanumeric name. Its big brother has followed the world nomenclature, so it’s no exaggeration to assume that this will trickle down to the compact sedan.
We will know more about this in the next year. Kia is certainly not holding back with its lineup update, and we hope to hear from the Korean brand as soon as possible.
