Epic Audi A4 Allroad Overlander Is Our Dream Camping Companion

Epic Audi A4 Allroad Overlander Is Our Dream Camping Companion

In its original version, the Audi A4 Allroad is already capable of light adventures off the beaten track. As you may have guessed, this 2015 Allroad is not in stock. While many Audi enthusiasts drop their cars, owner Gene Pascua has decided to go the other way. The result is this epic A4 which is at the same time a combat car, an overlander part and all impressive.

Motor1.com had the opportunity to chat with Pascua on her personalized Allroad. He is the original owner, having bought it new in July 2015 without any intention of transforming it into an adventure vehicle.

“I originally bought it for more space in the trunk and my two dogs,” said Pascua. “Overland didn’t bother me when I bought it for the first time.”

That changed in 2017, when he decided to remove the same old smacking Audis routine for the street scene. He started realizing this vision in 2018 with an influx of modifications, including a custom suspension to tackle not only all roads, but no roads. It takes more than ground clearance to embark on off-grid adventures, so the Audi has no less than 13 Rigid Industries lights to see the terrain day and night. A dual battery configuration by Redarc Electronics helps power this and a Midland Communications radio system.

A Front Runner knotty roof rack and a rear window ladder are functional, but undeniably add to the rugged look of the Allroad. This goes even further with the Rotiform CCV-OR wheels fitted with all-terrain tires. To help carry the extra weight, Pascua tweaked the Audi’s engine with an improved intake, a downspout and a piece of APR Stage 2.And the car is definitely used as intended. Pascua says the Audi has recently driven 100,000 miles, and while it occasionally goes to car shows, exploring the countryside and camping is what the car does best.

It is not the first wagon we have seen built for such adventures, but it is certainly one of the coolest. Many thanks to Gene Pascua for sharing her story and these photos with us. Find out on the source links below.
