Modifying a vehicle is part of everyone’s journey by car. If you own a vehicle, you will probably want to upgrade it with something that suits your personality and, of course, the car.
In this regard, changing your wheels will almost always be the first thing to think about. It is one of the easiest to do, and its relative cost is easier to bear than other aftermarket upgrades. It is also the easiest to match with your personality.
For SUV owners, upgrading to a larger set of wheels, especially the chrome ones, would be an attractive purchase. Be careful, however, because some rims on the market may seem too good to be true. And yes, we are talking about the price.
As a general rule, never buy a cheap spare wheel set. If not, be prepared for something like the video above to happen to you.
In a video uploaded by ViralHog on YouTube, a Chevrolet Suburban was spotted on a highway in California. Captured by losing his right rear wheel, the SUV was lucky not to lose control while its huge chrome wheel deviated to the adjacent lanes.
No one was likely injured, but imagine the horrible things that would happen if the loose wheel hit other cars on the highway.
It is unclear, however, whether this is an improperly installed wheel or simply an example of a poor quality replacement rim set. The case will however always be the same. Settling for cheaper parts sets is a huge risk, especially if it’s the part of your car that takes a lot of hits. Never compromise quality with spending, because yours and the safety of your family should always be above your priorities.
