Can You Guess The Fastest-Selling New Truck? Hint: It’s Not A Ford

Ford is benefiting from very positive pre-order numbers for the new Bronco and it’s probably safe to predict that the new SUV will become one of the Blue Oval’s best-selling nameplates. The company also owns the best-selling model in the United States in its lineup, the F-series, but dealerships of the brand are apparently having difficulty switching to new trucks.
According to a new survey by iSeeCars, which analyzes new car sales in the country between November 2019 and June 2020, the best-selling new pickup in the United States is the Toyota Tacoma with an average of 72.6 days to sell. It is followed by the Honda Ridgeline with 77.4 days left and the GMC Sierra 1500 takes third place with an average of 83.9 days sitting on dealer lots.

“There is a shortage of new Tacomas due to the popularity of the truck and the closure of Toyota’s production facilities,” iSeeCars Comments from CEO Phong Ly. “It is also the third best-selling used pickup truck, which suggests that it is popular with used buyers due to its reliability and durability.
But where is the F-150? According to agency data, the truck takes an average of 122.8 days to find a customer, ranking it 10th in the truck segment. The Nissan Frontier is the slowest new truck with an average of 158.3 days to sell – more than double the segment leader’s result in the survey.
Here is the complete list of the best-selling new (and used) trucks according to iSeeCars:
