Earlier this month, BMW teased the world with images of the next M3 and M4 hidden in the dark. The two performance versions of series 3 and 4 Bimmers are also not hidden in the latest teasers, except for the shadows that hide most of the updated style.
Photo editing geniuses, however, would likely turn to their weapons of choice to digitally reveal the two Ms, hoping that a few tweaks through Photoshop could remove the shadows. This is the very thing that the guys from BMWBlog did – except that they discovered something completely unexpected.
BMWBlog’s friend “Artemis” discovered that a healthy dashboard of contrast and highlight settings will display inscriptions on the teaser image of the M3 and M4. The rear of the G80 M3 shows a small “Nice Try” above the right rear light cluster, while the G82 M4 hides a “Nope” minute near the revised LED headlights.
Honestly, that gave us a good laugh, telling us that the Bavarian brand is paying attention to the deception that we, the reducers, have in our sleeves.
These Easter eggs do not change the fact that these cars have already been revealed before, however, BMW confirming the truth on the back of the leaked M3 and on the front of the M4.
The BMW M21 and M4 2021 will be unveiled simultaneously in September, with the automaker putting the finishing touches on its performance attributes. Most development testing will be done in the Nürburgring, but some fine tuning also occurs on the Sachsenring circuit.
Both cars, however, will be available in showrooms at a later date, with recent reports that dealers will get them in early 2021.
