The all-new, second-generation BMW 4 Series Coupé is available. And although many have reservations about its design, we have no doubt that it will be a success among sports coupe customers, especially in Europe. You’ll need to pay at least $ 45,600 for the base 430i Coupe with rear-wheel drive in the United States, but German customers have a (relatively) more affordable 420i version, which starts at € 45,800.
In a story from a few days ago, we shared photos and details about the all-new, very basic 4 Series coupe that is on sale in Germany. It has a somewhat restricted exterior appearance and the interior even has an analog instrument cluster as well as a traditional tachometer and speedometer with a small 5.1-inch color screen. But a new rendering brings the cheapest coupe to a whole new level.
Fortunately, the car you see here does not exist in the real world and (hopefully) will never become a reality. This is the work of designer X-Tomi and presents a basic version of the new 4 series coupe with black plastic bumpers, inexpensive halogen headlights and not even an inch of chrome. A huge double kidney grille still adorns the front, but the car rolls on 16-inch wheels and has door handles and side mirror caps, which are not the color of the body.
If we let our imagination run wild, we can imagine that this car will get a version of the 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder turbo engine from BMW. In one of its applications, the mill generates 136 horses (100 kilowatts), which corresponds to the boring and simple aspect of the rendered car.
