Aznom Palladium Teased As World’s First All-Terrain ‘Hyper Limousine’
Tired of SUVs and crossovers pretending to be cars? How about a car pretending to be an SUV? In fact, we can do even better. How about a 20ft luxury limo pretending to be a sedan and an SUV? Honestly, we don’t know if that description is accurate, but we do know that Italian company Aznom Automotive has something very big and very unorthodox in the works.
These teaser photos give us a taste of what to expect. Aznom calls it Palladium, and if the chiseled face at the top of the screen and the wide back below are any indication, this sedan should have a pretty massive presence. This is all the more true as Aznom tells us bluntly that the dimensions of the car extend six meters (19.6 feet) in length and nearly two meters (6.5 feet) to the roof. In comparison, it’s almost identical to a new Ford F-150 Crew Cab pickup, so yes, it’ll be a big boy.
It will be more than that, however. The Palladium is described by Aznom as the world’s first “hyper-limousine”, with styling inspired by the opulent vehicles of the 1930s and the towering luxury machines used by diplomats and heads of state. What exactly that means is unknown – it’s just a teaser after all. But on top of that, the Palladium will feature an all-wheel drive system designed for off-road use. Presumably, it won’t just be a Lincoln Town Car mounted on a crazy monster truck chassis.
We’ve seen some awesome projects come from Aznom over the years. In 2018, we reported on a curiously styled SUV built from a Ram 1500. It was Aznom, although it’s not clear whether the Palladium will be created from an existing model or s ‘he walked high as his own internal project. Whatever its origins, it will be produced in limited numbers and as such it will likely be quite expensive.
We don’t have a specific launch date for this intriguing machine, but it will happen during the last week of October at the Milan Monza open-air motor show in Milan.
