2021 Audi S3 Three-Door Hatchback Renderings

Audi S3 Three-Door Renderings Imagine A Sporty Hot Hatch

Earlier this month, Audi unveiled the 2021 S3 sedan and five-door Sportback. Missing from the show – and the rest of the A3 lineup – was a three-door hatchback offering. The body style, a rarity in the automotive world today, is gone with the new generation. However, that didn’t stop a fan from imagining a 2021 S3 3-door sedan in two renderings.

The result is a sporty and attractive three-door sedan that we wish Audi to offer again; However, as more consumers turn to bigger vehicles, it makes sense to put an end to slow sellers. The new angular front design of the S3 fits the small hatch perfectly. Same goes for the rear, the S3 in renderings wearing the rear of the S3 Sportback.

The rear doors are missing, but the design flows from front to back without interruption. A nice low design line in the door runs through the rear fender, which adds cohesion to the style. There is a similar belt line that wraps around the car, starting with the headlights, cutting through the sides and reaching the rear.

If Audi were to make a three-door S3 for 2021, it would use the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the other two body styles. It produces 306 horsepower (228 kilowatts) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) of torque. In the S3 2021, Audi channels this power through a seven-speed S Tronic transmission and the manufacturer’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. It would likely run the same 4.8-second 0-100 km / h (100 km / h) run with the three-door top speed electronically limited to 250 km / h (155 mph).

Unfortunately, the three-door S3 will remain a render, alive in our imaginations. The number of three-door hatches is declining and will likely continue to do so until consumers start to switch to smaller vehicles. Maybe then the automakers will roll out the original compacts and other types of cars that we have seen disappear in recent years.
