The teaser campaign for the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer continues today with Jeep dropping two more images. These appear to be from the Grand Wagoneer. Last week’s teasers were a bit ambiguous as to their model; however, based on these new images, it appears they were also photos of Grand Wagoneer. Jeep also announced that it will reveal the Grand Wagoneer on Thursday, September 3.
The latest images show part of the split grille and part of the hood badge – WAG. If we were to guess, the picture shows the driver side part of the grille with the word BIG out of frame. The grille looks bespoke with tons of detail surrounding the slots. The grille and badges also appear to be illuminated.
The other gives us another glimpse of the interior. This appears to show the center console with the rotating dial – visible in the background of one of last week’s teasers – and some sort of blurry screen in the background. This could be the rumored screen that will be available to the front passenger.
The two new teasers continue to highlight the finer details of the SUV, like the on-off button on the dashboard with the wood trim or the detailed rotary dial on the center console. Rumors persist that the Grand Wagoneer will be a luxurious offering with tons of tech, a bezel-less 12-inch touchscreen, fully digital instrument clusters, and more.
Jeep was well positioned to accommodate the influx of SUV-seeking consumers when they started flocking to high-rise vehicles in the mid-2010s. Jeep sales have skyrocketed, but the landscape has since changed. . Other automakers have switched to crossovers and SUVs, and Jeep is not immune to fierce competition. The addition of the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer helps complete the portfolio when new car buyers like these types of vehicles.
Jeep did not say what time it will reveal the Grand Wagoneer next month, although it is likely to be announced closer to the reveal date. Production is expected to start in Q2 2021 before going on sale later in the year for the 2022 model year.
