2021 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition Honors Nautical Armed Forces

If you are one of the brave men and women who serve in the armed forces of our country, first of all, thank you. Second, Ram is bringing back its 2020 Built to Serve Edition range of 1,500 1,500 trucks for its second tranche. This time, the two colors offered – ceramic gray and patriotic blue – honor those who serve in the United States Navy, and these two trucks are absolutely fantastic. And they will also be offered in all body and powertrain combinations.

The ceramic gray is clearly inspired by the “mist gray” typical of seagoing ships, and the patriotic blue is very similar to the color of navy blue. These two paint schemes are the third and fourth of the 10 color options that are all inspired by the United States armed forces. The models will be rolled out over the next three months, then Ram will move to the next Built to Serve edition to honor the next branch.

Whatever the exterior color, these two special edition nautical trucks receive a black interior and blue contrast stitching on the interior on the seats and steering wheels. There are also velcro panels on the front seats, to allow owners to install the patches they deem appropriate, and MOLLE straps on the backrests to attach other equipment or badges.

Outside, the trucks have 20-inch aluminum wheels powder coated in ceramic gray and matching color wheel arches to complement the color of this specific truck. They’ll also include a blackened grille, blackened bumpers, black side steps, and two black four-inch exhaust tips that are – you guessed it – black. Like all 1500 To Built To Serve Edition models, each will feature an American flag and a “Built to Serve” sticker on the rear panels.

Under the skin of military honor is the Ram Big Horn trim, a powerful capable truck. Keep in mind that the Ram 1500 was MotorTrend’s truck of the year in 2019. The Built to Serve editions benefit from the all-terrain 4×4 group, including all-terrain tires, an electronically locked rear differential, a descent control and a multitude of other off-road goodies to make sure you get to pretty much wherever you’re trying to go – beaten track or otherwise.

This set of Built To Serve trucks will be ready to roll on Flag Day this year, June 14, and all of this kit is just a $ 2,795 option, so be sure to keep an eye out for one of these sweet walks on your way to the dealership.
