2021 Nissan Rogue Teased Ahead Of June 15 Debut
Spy photos, patent images and leaks have almost ruined what the Nissan Rogue 2021 will look like when it arrives later this month. The Japanese automaker is giving its popular crossover an essential makeover, and it will unveil the updated model next week on Monday, June 15. Nissan has also released a teaser image of the next generation Rogue, and that confirms a lot of what we’ve seen before.
The teaser shows quite a bit of Rogue 2021. We can see that the V-Motion grille continues to be as important as ever, just like we saw in the leaked images. The design of the split headlights with the daytime running lights sitting above the headlights, which are lower in the front bumper, is also present. The grip image shows a much more aggressive and robust crossover than the one it replaces, avoiding the softer shape of the current generation crossover for an angular shape.
While Nissan will update the Rogue’s appearance inside and out, it’s still unclear what changes will happen under the hood. Chances are the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the current crossover will continue with minor tweaks. The latest rumors suggest that the mill will get a slight increase in power, producing 180 horsepower (134 kilowatts) and 175 pound-feet (237 Newton meters) of twist, which represents a gain of 10 and nine, respectively.
The Nissan Rogue, despite its age compared to its competitors, is still selling well, often winning a place among the best-selling vehicles in the United States. It was the sixth best-selling vehicle in the United States in 2019. The updated exterior will also come with a revamped interior with a design that mimics other recently updated Nissan models. It will be filled with technology and tablet screens and the latest smartphone integration technology, including wireless Apple CarPlay. The redesign should help it stay near the top of the sales chart.
