2021 Lincoln Corsair To Get Front And Rear Camera Washer, Sport Package
With the weekend getting bad news at Lincoln thanks to the MKZ shutdown, there is still good news to lift Lincoln fans out of the crossover variety. If you’ve been watching the Lincoln Corsair for some time now, the 2021 model could be its best year yet, with more news regarding optional equipment and features thanks to our friends at Ford Authority. The current Lincoln Corsair is slowly gaining ground in the C-segment of luxury crossovers, at just under 9% of the total small luxury crossover market share. Will these new features be enough to bolster its second year after the MKC replacement? Let’s find out.
In addition to the monochromatic pack already available on current Corsairs and the Grand Touring plug-in hybrid model to be launched at the end of 2020, the Ford Authority has learned that the 2021 Lincoln Corsair will adopt a new Sport pack.
The Sport package is an option only on the Corsair Reserve and Corsair Grand Touring versions and adds some interesting features, such as 20 inch machined aluminum wheels, body color bumpers, unique grille with black mesh for the upper part, striped illuminated front plates, four-wheel drive and a turbocharged 2.3-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder that produces 295 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
Additionally, the 2021 Lincoln Corsair will receive a small but extremely useful pair of camera washers for the front and rear. Similar to those found on the about to be Focused Continental, the pair of camera washers will be standard in the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Plus Package.
This package is an option on the Corsair, Corsair Reserve and Corsair Grand Touring variants. Some model and equipment designations of the Corsair Reserve and Grand Touring come standard, so keep an eye out for that. Besides the aforementioned washers, the safety package is complete and adds a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, lane centering, speed sign recognition, active park assist, assist evasive steering and reverse brake assist.
We’ll find out more in the next few months and hope to have a few photos to show you of both the Sport package and additional changes very soon.
