2021 Kia Stinger Extended Video Shows What’s New Inside And Out
Don’t worry, if you’re still trying to figure out the design changes the 2021 Kia Stinger has compared to its predecessor, you’re not alone in this case. The brand’s designers have made very minor corrections to the look of the rear-wheel drive sedan, but there are other, more significant changes.
Right after the model premiered online last month, we shared an overview video trying to shed more light on the visual improvements. Today we have another interesting video to share with you, and this time it takes us for a ride in the revised RWD Kia. Let’s take a look at the main talking points.
The nearly 30-minute video is courtesy of Asian petrolhead which means you will get a very honest and direct review. The test car is an example of a 2.5-liter 8-speed automatic transmission, which develops 300 horsepower (224 kilowatts) and 311 pound-feet (421 Newton-meters) of torque. It’s not as fast as the Stinger GT but it’s still a very capable machine, as the host confirms.
Inside the cabin, the biggest change has to be the new 10.25-inch infotainment screen replacing the old 8.0-inch screen. Interestingly, the driver’s dash continues with a traditional analog design for the speedometer and tachometer, but there is a small screen in between that shows the video feed of the enhanced blind spot system.
Finally, there are a number of small tweaks to the customization options. These include new wheels, new trims, new exterior colors and the Dark package which adds more sporty touches to the exterior. The refreshed 2021 Kia Stinger will go on sale in international markets before the end of the year.
