2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Caught Stretching Its Legs At Nurburgring
Jaguar Land Rover is in trouble and may be forced to discontinue existing models in the future to reduce costs. However, all of the cars in development seem to be safe and that is good news, especially for those considering a new performance SUV. The British automaker is currently putting the finishing touches on the updated F-Pace SVR.
There’s a new spy video courtesy of the cvdzijden – Supercar Videos channel on Youtube and it shows the powerful F-Pace running the Nurburgring at high speed. The prototype is still hidden under a camouflage sheet, but we have at least a basic idea of what the visual changes might be.
As confirmed by previous spy plans, the most significant changes should be seen at the front, where the fascia will get some adjustments in the lower part of the bumper. In addition, the grilles will likely receive new models, while the headlights could be slightly redesigned to reflect the updated Jaguar design language.
Most likely, there will not be any major technological upgrades to match the visual keys. Under the hood, we expect to find the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with the same 550 horsepower (410 kilowatts) and 502 pound-feet (680 Newton meters) of torque. It will be associated with the same eight-speed automatic transmission, the configuration probably providing the same time from 0 to 60 mph as the current model.
Jaguar hasn’t said a word about the launch date of the updated F-Pace SVR, but we still expect to see it before the end of the year despite the coronavirus epidemic that has already delayed a number of launches in 2020.
