2021 Genesis G90 Gets Spacey With Limited-Edition Stardust Model
As of July 2, the G90 sedan of model year 2021 has been released for sale in South Korea
Base model has significant convenience improvements as standard equipment
The G90 “Stardust” in special edition will also be available for the first time
Seoul, June 26, 2020 – The flagship G90 luxury sedan will go on sale July 2 as a 2021 model year and as a special edition “Stardust” model. Fifty Stardust editions will be sold in Korea only.
The G90 leads the line of luxury cars from the Genesis brand and is highly regarded for its advanced technology, refinement and luxurious equipment. Driving convenience will be enhanced on the base model with the addition of the Genesis adaptive control suspension and the intelligent front lighting system as standard.
The Genesis Adaptive Control suspension automatically adjusts the stiffness of the suspension to road conditions, thereby reducing unwanted vibration for passengers. The tires also maintain better contact with the road, improving overall stability and safety.
In addition, the intelligent front lighting system automatically dims the high beams when the system detects an oncoming vehicle. This function is carried out by a series of individual LEDs which can turn on or off on demand, ensuring that other conductors are never blinded by too bright lights.
Meanwhile, the 2021 is also now available with the optional reverse parking assist, which alerts the driver to exit a parking spot when he detects an object or a pedestrian behind the vehicle. It can even apply emergency braking to avoid a collision. The new 19-inch wheels are another option for 2021.
Special edition: the G90 Stardust
A special G90 “Stardust” edition arrives specially for this year, taking inspiration from a scene with a night sky full of stars hanging over a red carpet where celebrities are covered in flashing lights. Only 50 of the G90 Stardust models will be sold for the first time and will only be available in Korea.
This image directly inspires the special carbon metal paint with a sparkling pearl effect. This contrasts with the bottom half of the exterior with black Vik paints. This custom two-tone paint requires specialized manufacturing procedures that naturally limit the amount of production.
The interior receives custom Stardust custom seats in two-tone leather and metal pore ash wood, creating a special environment exclusively designed for the privileged few.
“The G90 Stardust represents the ultimate form of elegance,” said SangYup Lee, director of Genesis Global Design. “By the time you arrive at a red carpet event, nothing less is expected.”
