We are only 10 days away from the debut of the new generation Ford F-150. It has been officially confirmed that the new version of the best-selling vehicle in the United States for decades will be released on June 25, and today we can share a new spy video to ease the wait.
It comes from The Fast Lane truck channel on Youtube and shows a test prototype on public roads in Colorado. He obviously wears his body of production but most of the panels are covered with a thin layer of camouflage paper. However, no disguise covers certain areas of the front fairing, which allows us to take a closer look at the grille.
From what we can see, this test car works with a different type of grille from the previous F-150s we spied on. As a reminder, one of the first prototypes we spotted in February had a very simple design, while the recently spotted Platinum model had a unique grille pattern. This new grille represents another version of the grille with four chrome bars.

Other than that, it looks like a fairly standard F-150. Of what we know so far, the revised truck will hit the market with four engine options: 3.3-liter V8 developing 290 horsepower (216 kilowatts), 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 developing 325 horsepower (242 kW) ), 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 375 hp (280 kW) and 5.0-liter V8. At this point, the information is unconfirmed, but several different sources indicate that it will be the truck’s available factories at launch.

Other unconfirmed but tasty rumors suggest that the new F-150 may get live updates and a special generator designed to help customers finish off-grid work. Everything should become clear next week when Ford unveils the 2021 F-150 in its entirety.
