2021 Ford F-150 Raptor Coming With New Color?
The Ford F-150 is on the move, and it’s ready to take on the full-size truck segment, likely retaining its sales crown for this dreary year of 2020. We know for a fact that the Blue Oval will begin deliveries of the 14th-generation F -150 by the end of the year, but there’s one big item that hasn’t been revealed yet – the Ford Raptor.
That’s not to say information is scarce at this point. In fact, a new report has been released saying that the 2021 Raptor will ship with an exclusive new color called “Code Orange”.
Unearthed by username NBNEWCAR at Forum F150gen14, a photo from a dealership guide shows the orange code marked for the Raptor. The original poster, which appears to be affiliated with the dealership based on its tone, stated that the new color was not found in the other F-150 models. There’s just one catch, though – the photo, which you can see here and here, is marked as 2021.
Although Ford has confirmed that the next generation Ford Raptor will be for the 2021 model year, we have yet to see any announcements from the company. The new colorway may be just for a carried over or updated model, or for the next-gen model we’ve all been waiting for. But one thing is certain: there will be an upcoming Raptor and we’ve seen several road-tested spy shots of it.
As always, take it with a healthy dose of salt, although we won’t be surprised if Code Orange appears when the Raptor launches soon, hopefully.
Another thing we’re watching is the powertrain package for the upcoming Raptor, which was previously reported to be a pair: a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 and a 3.0-liter twin-turbo hybrid V6.
