2021 Ford Bronco Sport Gets 84-Month Terms Or Zero Percent Interest

Even if it is a brand new model that will not hit dealers for a few months, Ford is already offering aggressive financing offers on the Bronco Sport 2021. As reported by CarsDirect.com, potential owners of the small Ford SUV can take advantage of 0% financing for up to 48 months, as well as financing conditions of up to 84 months with Ford Credit.

The interest rate on longer term loans is also quite aggressive, with an APR of 1.9% on 60 month financing and an APR of 2.9% for 72 months. As you would expect, the 84 month plan requires the most interest: 5.9%. There are no professional financial advisers on Motor1.com, but we do not recommend a seven-year loan with this type of interest – including a 10% down payment, this loan would cost around $ 33,700 for a stripped Bronco Sport. which theoretically costs less than $ 29,000. The story is worse for a loaded version; even with a 10% down payment, the total cost of the loan would be close to $ 48,000.

However, the zero percent interest offered on these shorter loans is essentially free money, especially for financially savvy people who use savings to invest in other areas. Ford Credit has not yet offered aggressive discounts to Bronco Sport leases, which currently offer a rate equivalent to 4.6%. We anticipate that this will change before the Bronco Sport 2021 goes on sale by the end of the year.

So what gives? Why is Ford so aggressive with a vehicle that doesn’t even take up space on dealership lots yet? This could in part be due to the fact that the company’s finance arm can afford to lose some interest if it means there is a boost in every Bronco Sport driver seat as soon as it reaches the floor of the exhibition hall. It could also reflect a broader marketing strategy that converts potential buyers into crossovers in the Bronco sub-brand ethic “Built Wild”.

Such loyalty could pay off – the Bronco family should be a cash cow for Ford, thanks to higher margins on the Bronco Sport compared to the mechanically similar (and cheaper) Escape crossover. And the more expensive Bronco two / four-door SUV should be even more profitable thanks to its Ranger and F-150 intensive construction and powertrain offerings.
