After 25 years, the Ford Bronco is back – and judging by the first reactions, it will be a success on the market. We can already confirm that several additional equipment sets, special models and limited edition versions will be introduced over the next few years, and we wonder if a Bronco truck is on the cards. We still don’t have an exact answer to this question, but at least we now know what it might look like.
This rendering comes only a few hours after the great debut of last night and is the work of the designer KDesign sure Behance. It offers a lifestyle pickup based on the new Bronco Sport and borrowing its front fascia from the new Escape SUV. Honestly, it’s not exactly what we would expect a Bronco truck to look like, but it really deserves your attention.
According to a report from last summer, Ford could actually launch its new compact truck in the United States under the name of Bronco. We haven’t heard more details in the past 12 months, but given that the Bronco is now a sub-brand for the automaker, the August 2019 report makes at least a bit of sense.
Additionally, in April of this year, it was announced that the new Sub-Ranger pickup would share its powertrain options with the Bronco Sport. This means that it should be fitted as standard with 1.5 and 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo engines coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
There are still many pieces of the puzzle to be assembled, but with the new Bronco and Bronco Sport released, we think it won’t take long before we see the new Ford truck. Will he receive the name Bronco? Only time will tell.
