2021 Dodge Lineup Teased With US Anthem Played By HEMI Engines

Dodge will have a pretty busy summer. New car customers in America seem to really like their Dodge vehicles, and the automaker will have to avoid the summer shutdown to meet the increased demand. In addition, the 2021 model range is fast approaching, with the brand announcing that it will unveil it in full on July 2.

Dodge has just released a teaser for the updated model line. Rather than publishing a photo or a short video, the firm decided to choose an interpretation of “The Star-Spangled Banner” produced with the sounds of its supercharged HEMI engines. The reinvented anthem presents a combination of high-speed, speed-up, downshift and supercharging regimes.

“The sound of a screaming supercharged HEMI is so distinctive that this teaser video doesn’t need a single frame … if you know, you know,” Tim Kuniskis, car manager at FCA North America. “Tune in July 2 to celebrate with Dodge the pursuit of life, freedom and 8,950 horsepower.”

This last figure mentioned by Kuniskis really caught our attention. Basically, the brand’s entire model portfolio should have a combined total power of 8,950 hp (6,674 kW), which might suggest some power upgrades for some of the performance offerings. Everything should be revealed on July 2, when Dodge will not only unveil its 2021 model line-up, but will also release a new full second video that showcases its new performance range on music created for the teaser. Just a day before the big debut, Dodge will also be sharing three more teaser videos.

“If you listen carefully, and we know our fans will, you will get a taste of what will happen for Dodge // SRT in 2021,” said Kuniskis. “We think our fans will pick up a few key notes.”
