To put nearly 800 horsepower on the sidewalk, the new Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye has a Widebody exterior with integrated fender flares that add 3.5 inches of body width. The new 20-inch by 11-inch light black carbon wheels run on Pirelli 305 / 35ZR20 tires, giving the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye more tread where the rubber meets the road. A newly designed functional performance hood on both Charger SRT Hellcat models makes this four-door sedan look even more sinister.

Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye has the demon soul

One of the keys to the engine’s massive power output is air – and plenty. The newly designed functional performance hood on the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye provides maximum air intake to the high-efficiency supercharged power plant.
On the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, the new functional performance hood, the opening of the mail slot grille and the opening of the air box near the wheel lining combine to give the high-performance engine a 18 percent more air flow than the SRT Hellcat engine (1,134 cubic feet per minute). The charge air coolant, after being cooled by the ambient air passing through a low temperature radiator at the front of the vehicle, flows through the cooler, where it is further cooled. The refrigerated coolant then flows to the compressor heat exchangers.
Race Cooldown, also an industry first, minimizes the effects of heat, allowing the engine to stay at an optimal operating temperature. When the engine stops, the Race Cooldown function keeps the engine cooling fan and the low temperature circuit cooling pump running to lower the temperature of the supercharger / charge air cooler. The driver can monitor the temperature of the compressor coolant on the SRT performance pages on the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen and know in real time when the compressor is at the optimum temperature for another race.
