You can now see a small preview of what to expect from the Chevrolet Corvette 2021 on the automaker’s website. It also confirms that the model will go on sale in late 2020. A document released in March hinted at some of these changes.
Changes for the Corvette 2021 include two new colors. There is Silver Flare Metallic and Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat replaces Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat. The new crimson hue seems to be a little darker than the current one.
Chevy’s overview page notes that choosing Red Mist increases the price of the Corvette 2021. The rest of the Tintcoat color options cost $ 995, so we expect this to be the same premium.
Customers can also add a sheen to the exterior of the Vette with double run strips running from nose to tail, and they are now available in blue, orange, red and yellow. Stinger stripes for the hood are available in two-color combinations of Carbon Flash / Edge Red, Carbon Flash / Edge Yellow and Carbon Flash / Midnight Silver.
As in the recent Chevy teaser, the selection of a Rapid Blue body and the orange racing stripes allow customers to have the famous Gulf Motorsport livery. It’s a great look on the sports car.
Inside, the Corvette 2021 is available with a two-tone blend of Sky Cool Gray and Strike Yellow padding.
For the second model year of the Corvette C8, Chevrolet does not plan to change the prices of the three trim levels. This means that it will still be possible to get a Vette for less than $ 60,000, even if no one orders it that way. The cost of certain options and packages may change.
The transition from the 2020 Corvette to the 2021MY would take place in November, which corresponds to what Chevy says on the overview page. After closing the plant due to a coronavirus, the company would like to produce as much of the first model year as possible.
