2021 BMW 4 Series Coupe Configurator Is Up, Most Expensive Is $72,875
About three months after its world premiere, the new 4 Series Coupé was integrated into BMW USA’s online configurator. The math starts at $ 45,600 for the base 430i in rear-wheel drive form, but today we’re talking about the (temporary) high-end version with all the bells and whistles. The M440i xDrive Coupe starts at $ 58,500, and as you’re about to see, you can add almost $ 15,000 in options with just a few mouse clicks.
The first option available in the configurator is Shadowline, which is BMW speaks for black mirror caps and tinted windows. One of the more expensive extras available for the new 4 Series Coupe is this Tanzanite Blue II Metallic paintwork shown here, available for $ 1950. Alternatively, Dravit Gray Metallic costs the same.
Speaking of pricey options, the most expensive of all is the Executive Package worth $ 3,700, offering adaptive LED headlights with laser technology, gesture control support, 12.3-inch digital driver display and infotainment 10.25 with live navigation, head-up display, heated front seats and steering wheel, and ambient lighting.
In addition to the Executive Package, customers can add three other packages: the Professional Driver Assistance Package of $ 1,700, the Parking Assistance Package of $ 700, and the High Performance Tire & Cooling Package of 1 $ 500. The first two are pretty self-explanatory, while the third features 19-inch wheels with high-performance tires, adaptive M suspension, as well as improved braking and improved cooling.
Then there are the individual options, as follows: remote engine start at $ 300, electric trunk lid at $ 250, ventilated front seats at $ 350, driver recorder at $ 100, wireless charging and point of sale. Wi-Fi access at $ 500 and Harman Kardon sound system at $ 875.
Add all the extras and you’ll pay $ 72,875 MSRP, plus an additional $ 995 for destination and handling charges for a total of $ 73,870. Needless to say, the M4 coupe that debuts later this month will be much more expensive, and any potential derivative like a GTS will push the price up.
